Grace’s practice focuses on Family Law, and Bankruptcy. She decided to become an attorney so she could help others, and her ultimate goal is to always make an already upsetting and uncomfortable time less stressful for her clients.
Grace graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison undergraduate program with a B.A. in legal studies and psychology, with a minor in criminal justice. After taking a few years away from school, she went on and earned her J.D. from the University of Kansas Law in 2020 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. So Grace is no stranger to unexpected twists and turns, but that only betters her skills as an attorney.
Grace began her legal career while in law school as an intern for the Public Defender’s Office in Kansas City where she spent most of her time working in the diversion court program. At the same time, Grace was also an intern for the Missouri Commission on Human Rights, where she was able to practice her conflict resolution skills between adverse parties.
Her experience in conflict resolution area is an asset when practicing Family Law. She knows that Family Law cases can deal with emotionally charged situations, and it is Grace’s goal to guide and support her clients through those situations in a way that makes sure the client will be successful not only in the immediate future, but also in the long term.
While still in school, Grace has also been gaining experience in private practice as a law clerk, where she worked primarily on Bankruptcy cases. Grace believes that an open line of communication is the most important part of a client’s experience when filing Bankruptcy. It is her goal that when a client is filing a bankruptcy, that they are able to look forward to the resolution of the case, while she and our experienced team deal with the details.
Grace lives in Lawrence with her two dogs, Sammy and Leo. She describes herself as family oriented and is lucky enough to have an amazing mom who is the epitome of hard work and compassion, and a brother who continuously inspires her to break boundaries. Grace has been singing since she was three years old and has been playing the guitar for 10 years. She loves escaping to the outdoors, but also enjoys playing video games and watching tv shows on Netflix to relax.
