Director of Community Outreach
Carrie Stracy, Director of Community Outreach, has spent most of her career serving the senior population. She worked as a receptionist at an assisted living community while attending St. Louis Community College. In 1997, Carrie moved to Kansas City, where she spent several years in sales. After her youngest child was born, Carrie decided to stay home to care for her daughter and her 89-year-old grandmother.
During this time, she volunteered with the Alzheimer’s Association as an art facilitator for the “Memories in the Making” program and was a direct care volunteer with Crossroads Hospice.
In 2012, after her youngest started kindergarten, she followed her passion for seniors and attended Kansas College of Nursing. Soon after, she began working in hospice, caring for patients and their families. In 2017, Carrie became an Activity Director at an assisted living community and then, in 2020, became their Community Relations Director. During this time, she realized the importance of estate planning for seniors and their families.
Carrie Stracy joined the Stockton & Kandt team in 2023 and is excited to continue helping families plan for the future. She is married to George, has a son named Tyler, a daughter named Sadie, and a stepdaughter named Meagan. She also has two senior dogs named Rudy and Rosco. When Carrie is not working, she loves spending her time in nature and traveling.
